... and Using XML To Read a File

The "Learn Visual Basic with VB.NET 2005 Express" series continues with Lesson 6. In this lesson, we cover one of the fundamentals of VBE: Looping, Branching, and Selecting.

To nail down the lesson, a more advanced version of the About Visual Basic Signature Block program is developed where we use XML to store the data used by the program. This brings up the question:

"Is XML tough to learn?"

If you're just learning VB.NET, You might have passed on learning about XML because you thought it was too complicated. Although XML can become very technical, it's also possible to be elegantly simple and easy to understand. I aim for "simple and easy" in this lesson and the proof is the update to the example "Signature Block" program using XML.
