About Visual Basic has published updates to our review of an innovative and completely free IDE (Integrated Development Environment) called SharpDevelop since we discovered it in 2002.

Here's our latest review!

The previous review was published before Christmas last year and the SharpDevelop team has made a lot of progress since then. In particular, they now support a toolbox full of VB.NET form components and VB.NET Windows applications. The previous release wasn't very usable by VB programmers because the only thing you could do was create applications based on your own code in a Main form - which wasn't very practical for most of us.
