Amazing Splits

Thursday June 24, 2004

What's the easiest way to get the third letter, that is, just the letter "C" in this string?

"A|B|C|D"

Here's an absolute gem of VB programming. Better! I verified that it works in VB 6, VBA for 2000 and 2003 and VB.NET 1.1. And I couldn't find it anywhere else on the web. As far as I can tell, this is an original.

It is cool.

The answer can be found here!

A programming pearl from Peter Zilahy Ingerman, PhD.
